September 22, 2006 Our wedding in the clouds
I carefully packed a wedding dress, veil at various levels, shoes, accessories and flowers, while integration into a small bag as a qualified engineer. I hate the wrinkles and this is my greatest fear more that can go wrong. And with the new TSA restrictions on cosmetics and toiletries, my biggest challenge was trying to smuggle on board. I requested that the CSE is not palpable as strategically scattered throughout my body. It goes without a hitch how I got into the 17 hour flight to Johannesburg Washington DC.
On arrival, chaos ensued because of problems with our boarding passes next Town Cape. A Long story made short, most of our group of 45 was beaten and divided into 3 different flights. Terry and I had to take the flight No. 2973. I lost in the mass as an agent rushed me through security to board our plane waiting for us. It was 25 minutes late. The problem I had not married because he was approached!
Intoxicated with the jet lag, I collapsed like an umbrella in my seat. My stress has reached its climax at a point where all you need to be. A few minutes later, Terry get out of breath and the doors are closed for takeoff. He took the last rows empty seat behind me. We had no idea of the procedure for this special event until a flight attendant knelt down to whisper "do not worry Suzy, who was waiting impatiently for her wedding for two days."
When stabilized, the crew took me back and I responsible for the change in my wedding dress, so did a beverage service. This is not an easy task in a bath of the aircraft. I had to get yoga poses in my socks.
Then, all activity stops. The stewardess announced over the PA to all passengers remaining seated. When I started to walk toward the altar, he read from the ships have sailed the 7 seas, the captain had the privilege of joining 2 people in marriage.
As world travelers, Terry and Suzy spend half his life on board. In these 4 years ago today, meeting on South Africa Airways (SAA) is an honor to share their votes today. I joined Terry, who was dressed in tuxedos position near the SAA Captain Richard Holdengarde makes our marriage. I think I was so nervous like me as I read our vows. She was beautiful and I shed a few tears of joy.
Terry and I then walked down the aisle as everyone applauded. The media board. We were moved to the first class of interviews and pictures while serving meals. We present some beautiful gifts SAA South African. The crew distributed our wedding favors for everyone. On landing we were greeted by air management companies and took pictures outside the aircraft. Introduction of baggage, people We watched in amazement. Event was greatly appreciated by all, and certainly a dream come true for us. As a former flight attendant of 14 years, I think it was a first in history aviation.
I gathered my group, responsible for coach and entry into the Grand Hotel Cabo del Sol's manager Terry and I assigned the penthouse suite on the 32nd floor with spectacular views of the mountain. There are 5 bedrooms, sunken jacuzzi, dozens of roses, endless fruit, cheeses, chocolates and champagne and wines that we gave our group. Exhausted by so anything I could do was to make our king size bed to sleep happy.
Then take people from "our little in the air wedding was broadcast on national news and advertising in newspapers across the country. Imagine that became famous for a moment the land of the Zulus. My travel agent has given many African Airways business group over the years and have given us this opportunity more as a favor for advertising. He was once an experience lifetime and are always grateful and loyal to them.
