Magazine subscription for a gift?

I'm really confused about what to buy gifts for the wedding of her. Does anyone believe that a subscription the magazine that bad idea? Something like Capacity for boys and cosmo or cooking for girls? I probably add a little something else, just for something completely open. Yes, no?

I love it – and certainly much more than a piece of costume jewelry or a trinket that is dusty. Cooks Illustrated is a magazine that deals with fabulous cooking ingredients that real people eat.
