Blank bridal shower invitations…how to print in word?
I purchased blank invitations for a bridal shower, and upon arriving home, realized there was not a website listed to download the word template to print the invitations.
The invitations are 7.5″ x 4.”
I need to figure out how to resize the word document to make a template that size so I can print them.
Thanks in advance!
When you open your Word document, go to “VIEW” and “PRINT LAYOUT.” Rulers should show on the top and sides. Hover your mouse over the part of the ruler that goes from grayed out to white and extend the page (white part of ruler) to the far left and top corners. Adjust the other side of the ruler to the length/height you need.
Remember, too, that you are most likely going to need to have your print upside-down or sideways on the page to accommodate the proper printing. I generally create the backdrop in a program like Paint and copy and paste it as a picture so I can spin it. The writing you could do in Word as WordArt; this allows you to spin it as needed, too.
(EDIT: Might be a good idea to print a few test pages on plain paper before trying it on the blank invitations…you can see what and where it shows on the page and make adjustments as necessary so you don’t “ruin” an invitation!)
