What type of fresh flowers work best in bridal updo?

I’m trying to work out the details of my updo for the wedding day. I am not wearing a veil (super sensitive skin would be irritated by the tulle rubbing on my bare skin all day) and I am not wearing a tiara (I’m not a freakin’ princess).

So, I’ve decided to use fresh flowers as my hair accessory. I’ve heard different stories on what flowers to use. We are using mainly roses for the bouquets but I also love tulips and calla lilies. Which would be the most sturdy and hardy to stay in an updo all day? I will be meeting with my stylist in a couple weeks and will ask her then, but just looking for ideas for now!

Thanks!
This isn’t prom, I don’t want baby’s breath, lol

Tulips and calla lillies are fine for bouquets…but they’ll look comical in your updo…they’re way too large and overpowering.

You should probably stick with what matches your boquet anyway…how about baby roses? Smaller versions of the ones in your boquet that match the color as well.
